First Impressions of Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation

Iv'e had a couple of weeks to try out the new Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation and here is my review. Please read this post to see an overview of the product.

As mentioned in my New Released Makeup in Australia post this foundation claims to do three things all in one. It claims to have the power of a primer, the coverage of a concealer and the blendability of a foundation. It also has an SPF of 20. This is the first foundation that I have ever used that has an SPF in it, i'm bad I know it isn't really something I look for in a foundation however it is something I will be looking for in future foundations. I feel as though the added element of SPF not only adds protection, I feel as though it also moisturizes. Which is great for me, I don't have dry skin but after I've put my foundation on I've been getting dry patches on my forehead and on my cheeks and it has been incredibly hard to cover up. So to have this foundation that keeps my skin moisturized and patch free has been great since the weather has been cooler.

So to get a good sense of the product and to test if it does as it says, I tested all three things that it claims to do, so first of all I tested of it had the power of a primer. So this was fairly simple, I just applied the foundation without a primer. I powdered my face and also spritzed on a makeup setting spray, and at the end of the day I still had a medium coverage of foundation. So that that gets a big tick!

Next the coverage of a concealer. This foundation does a pretty good job at covering up those spots and blemishes, unfortunately for me I needed a little extra concealer on top, however it does a great job at covering up redness on the face and also redness or discoloration from pimples. So again it gets another big tick!

My Natural Skin. looks alot worse than what it actually is.

You can see that the foundation has taken some of the redness away. Apologies I didn't blend the foundation in properly I was in a rush but you get the idea.

And lastly the Blendabiliy of a Foundation. The consistency does feel a little heavier on comparison to other foundations that I own, it gives a very build able coverage from medium to full. It doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles. As I said before it is moisturizing and it doesn't feel heavy. So yet again another big tick!

It's pretty safe to say that I really enjoy using this foundation, and I will say its my favourite foundation to date, I will be re-purchasing. And at $19.95 it is pretty decently priced. And as a added plus this foundation doesn't leave you with a white cast so you can put the flash on your camera and not look like a ghost!

  1. Sounds like a good foundation, I suffer from redness and very few foundations cover it, this might be worth a go.
