Back a few weeks ago Mua had a 50% of sale and free shipping offer. The minimum spend was 30 pounds. I have never heard or used any products from this brand before however I have heard a few people talk about them in vlogs and with a great offer like this I made the most of it. So I bought 15 products, I don't have individual photos of the products but here they are all together.
Now because of the sale you can imagine how many people like me placed an order so it took just over a month to get here, I honestly forgot about this until it arrived at my door.
I kept most of these products for myself and gave a few to my sister as part of her b'day pressie. I'm just going to go ahead and list all the products here i'm not going to go into any detail, i'll do a detail post on the products when I've had more of a play with them. Starting from the top going down to the bottom I bought. Trio Eyeshaddow - Innocence.
Matte Perfect Translucent Loose powder. Fixing Spray, Lip Liner - Softly Lined and Pink me up, Glitter eyeliner pencil Starry Night, Matte Black Eyeliner Pencil. Eye Dust Shade 4. Bronzer, BB cream Shade Medium - Dark, Cream Blusher - Dolly, Broznzed Perfection ( you can see its already cracked :( ), Blusher Shade 4 & 5, Heaven and Earth Eyeshaddow palette.
Since I received this a week ago I didn't keep the receipt but from memory with the discount I spent 16 pounds which inst to bad. The Bronzed perfection has now become an everyday bronzer for me so to the Heaven and Earth Palette they are affordable products that are good quality I Defiantly recommend trying these products for yourself!

DIY project : how to fix smashed compacts.
Check out my BRAND NEW BRONZER, not even used and it is smashed to pieces. Today after what feels like forever my MUA order finally arrived and eager little me couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I dropped it on carpeted floor thinking it would be ok only to find that it wasn't. So what was I to do? at that time throwing it straight in the bin seamed like a viable option until common sense kicked in, and I thought there must be a way to fix it, I payed for it and haven't even used it.
So a quick Google search lead me straight to my solution and I had everything that I needed to fix it! YAY.
I shook the compact down to break it into smaller peices.
I added Mentholated Spirits to the Bronzer to create a paste. You could use any alcohol rubbing or drinking, just go for the one with the highest percent of alcohol as this will absorb and dry faster.
And this is what it looks like once its dry. And don't worry about the smell of alcohol once its absorbed the smell will disappear. The texture is just the same and it applies just as well, the only difference is it doesn't have the cute design but at least it didn't end up in the bin. You can use this for any compacts be it bronzer, blush or even eyeshaddow.

Quick contour and Highlight
I'm constantly reading blogs and watching vlogs looking for inspiration, how to's and to see what products everyone's raving about but as of late of been looking for eye tutorials and contouring and highlighting because apparently everyone does it! While I am still experimenting and learning I feel as though I've got the basics and while I can't explain how, there a millions of others out there who can, all you have to do is type it into Youtbe and bob's your uncle there a tons of how to's. I'm going to break this into two separate posts this one about contour and highlighting and the next one one a bronze smokey eye.
So why Contour and Highlight I hear you ask, well Contouring adds dimension to your face, so for the moment I contour my nose to make it appear smaller and to make it look straight. By applying concealer around the edge of your nose then bringing it up into a triangle shape it highlights the upper check area eliminating dark circles around your eye, it also makes your nose stand out. But don't freak out where not finished.
This doesn't really show how it looks as I've used my sister who is lighter than I am. You want to use a concealer that's a shade lighter than you're foundation. Turns out my concealer was the perfect colour for her but you get my drift.
Okay so back to the nose apply a highlighter powder or cream directly down your nose, its going to give the impression that your nose is super straight. You want to highlight areas that you want to enhance, you could highlight your cheek bones and your brow bone but for me this is what I'm sticking to. Make sure to set it with a transparent powder or you could alternatively use your face powder.
Moving onto Contouring, by contouring your face your making it appear thinner and who dosent love that it also adds nice depth and dimension. So starting with a bronzer you want to make a fish face by sucking your cheeks in to reveal your cheek bones, then starting at your ear swipe the bronzer down underneath the bone.
Next using a blush, starting at your ear again swipe the blush above the bronzer.
Now smile really big and brush some blush onto the apple of your cheeks.
Next you want to blend the bronzer and the blush into each other. I used the real techniques contour brush .
This is just an introduction into contour and highlighting there really is so much more that you can do, this is how I contour and highlight my face it may be wrong but it works for me. If you haven't tried this before I encourage you to as it can really make a huge difference to your face!

Real Technique Brushes
About 2 weeks ago I ordered the Real Technique Brushes by
Samantha Chapman. These brushes are a part of just about everyone’s favourites
and there’s thousands of reviews on them, so I thought I better get my hands on
them. You can purchase these in priceline stores in Australia; however they
retail for about $30. If you order them from iherb.com they range from $6 - $18
I bought 2 sets and one brush, the stippling brush, The
Base/flawless Core collection and the Starter set. In total I got 10 brushes
with a grand total of $45.97 plus $6 for shipping, I did however use a coupon
the gives you $10 of your first purchase I also have a coupon for this that I will
include at the end of this post.
These brushes are made from synthetic
fibres,I’m still playing around with these brushes and finding out there
intended purposes, I’ve never had makeup brushes before so it’s nice to have a
different brush for things.
So first of ill start with the stippling brush.
The base flawless core collection includes a detailer brush
which can be used for concealer or for your lips, pointed foundation brush,
buffing brush, contour brush and it also includes a panoramic brush case.
And Lastly the Starter Set which includes base shadow brush,
crease brush, accent brush, pixel –point brush, brow brush and also a panoramic
brush case.
All in all I’m pretty impressed with these brushes and for
the price I can’t complain! I’m really enjoying them and am having fun
experimenting with them. If you have these brushes what do you think? What’s
your favourite brush?
Haven’t purchased anything from iherb use this coupon BWC886 for $10 off your first order!

Night time routine
So I’m sitting here at my computer wondering what my next
post will be about, I’ve recently been watching a few night time vlogs and
thought I’d give it a crack. I’ve never really stuck to any routine before a quick
wash of my face, moisturiser, brush and floss and I was done. But I’ve become
very aware of my skin now and seeing as though of come out of my teens there is
no excuse for me to have red blemished skin; it’s a result of my laziness/ lack
of routine. So researching I’ve seen a lot of people praise and rave about the
clarisonic and while it sounds amazing I have super sensitive skin that doesn’t
break out per se but dry out and flare up in a rash, it basically flares up eczema
on my face which is a pain in the ass to get rid of. And for the price I would
hate to go out on a limb only to find that it won’t help my skin, so that wasn’t
going to happen.
So I researched on
products and brands and what would be best suited to my skin type which is dry
and sensitive. For me it’s important that the product is fragrance and alcohol free
and also something that isn’t thick but will allow my skin to breathe otherwise
ill end up scratching it of my face whilst I sleep. OUCH! I know but whilst I’m
in the land of zz’s my hands do there damage.
So here is what I use and my routine.
Apologies for photo quality using my iphone untill i get a camera :S
1.First up my hair has got to be up and out of my face!
2.Next I use a face wipe I am currently using a alcohol and fragrance
free wipe that I picked up at Coles for 2 bucks! I use this to take of my
mascara/ eye makeup and also any lip product that I am wearing.
3. At night I use a face Scrub to help to clean my skin,
reduce my pores and also get rid of the makeup left in my skin. I use the Neutrogena
Fresh Foaming Scrub. This scrub is Alcohol free so it doesn’t dry out
my skin too much; it’s got a pleasant soapy smell and has little orange beads
which scrub my skin. I have only been using this for 5 days and I can already
see a change in my skin, the pores in my checks have reduced and the few bumps
on my checks have partially if not completely gone! It also has reduced the
redness in the blemishes.
- At Morning I will use a face wash instead of a scrub just
because scrubbing my skin to much will dry it out and cause it to break out further.
I use the Clean and Clear Essential Self Foaming Facial Wash a liquid
consistency in the bottle, turns into foam once it’s pumped through the applicator.
Again it’s also light on my skin.
4. I follow this up with Toner also by Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner
this is light and again doesn’t dry out my skin too much. I use a cotton ball
to apply this to my skin. You could also alternatively use a face pad.
5. After the toner I moisturise and I use Simple
Kind to skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser I only use a pea size amount
of this which has resulted in this baby lasting nearly half a year. As the name
suggests it’s a light moisturiser, even though it’s not thick it still keeps my
face moisturised right up until I’m ready to wash my face in the morning.
6. Next I use an eye cream. I’ve always had lines under my
eyes and have never been able to shake them, I always thought it had to do with
sleep but I’ve now come to realise that they are dry which is only making the
lines under my eyes worse! So I use Swisspers
Aloe Soothing Eye Cream I’m not too sure about this cream I haven’t
used it long enough to see any results, I looked tirelessly for eye creams and
in the end I gave up and got this one, so if this one doesn’t work there’s
hundreds of others to choose from.
7. I then of course brush and floss my teeth.
8. I put on a lip balm lately I’ve been using the Maybelline
baby lips and my favourite sent of the moment is the mango pie, when I wake up
in the morning I can still feel the product of my lips! They feel really nice
and smooth definitely hydrated.
So this is the new routine that I’m getting myself into and I
must say I’ve been on this for a week and can already notice the difference in my
skin. It’s slowly clearing up and my skin is SO much softer! The only areas of concern for me are my
cheeks as they are now the only places I get blemishes and pimples but
hopefully that will change. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit and if
that is so I have 15 more days before I don’t have to constantly remind myself
not to miss a step!
